strip away flower part of the feather

strip away one side of feather 

strip half of feather and curl to one side 

strip half of teather and bind into loop 

cut feather by pulling over a blunt knife 

curl feather by squeezing over a blunt knife 

trim tip of teather with sharp scissors

trim tip and strip away lower part of feather

make zig zag edge by cutting upwards
